Mike Formica has founded several technology startups and led them to acquisitions. Along the way he has developed, manufactured and shipped over 30 products across the medical, defense, automotive, and industrial markets. From 3D scanners manufactured by the thousands, to the world's first commercial lane departure warning system deployed in half a million vehicles, to autonomous robotic platforms for the DoD — the track record is built on real hardware solving real problems.
How We Work
Prototypes Over Pitches
We would rather put a prototype on the table than a slide on the screen. Real hardware answers questions faster and more honestly than pictures ever will. We move to something tangible early, then make sure it can scale from one unit to the next 1,000.
Learn by Making
Every unit we build teaches us something. We feed production lessons back into engineering, compressing the learning cycle and driving down cost and complexity with each iteration.
Local Supply Chain
We know the regional manufacturing ecosystem because we have been working with it for decades. There's no need to go across the world to get a part when you can get it across the street. Whether it's a PCB or machined part we can pull the right partners in quickly .
Lean by Design
We have lived the startup grind and we know what it is like to build under real constraints. Time and money are real constraints and we design with that reality in mind. We build fast and efficient without wasting time or sacrificing quality.
